About Nozawa Grand Hotel

Founded in 1950.
Walking hand-in-hand with Nozawa Onsen for over 70 years.

Opened in 1950 in the village of Nozawa Onsen, Nozawa Grand Hotel has welcomed guests to this region ever since, closely attuned to the scenic beauty of the hot spring town and the daily lives of its people.

Here you can enjoy two iconic Nozawa hot spring sources: "Ogama" and "Shinyu".

Stroll through our hot spring town, soak in the therapeutic waters, and gaze out at the surrounding mountains. Experience the unique charm of Nozawa Onsen—both here and out in the village.

Winter in Nozawa,
enjoy the snow and the wonderful Nozawa Onsen.

Wrapped in abundant snow, Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort offers a diverse array of courses for everyone from beginners to advanced skiers.
With exceptional powdery snow stretching across the Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort, the vast slopes feature a vertical drop of over 1,000 meters. Perfect for winter fun.

After hitting the slopes, head into the village.
Walk through the snowy landscape and let your stress melt away in the soothing waters of Nozawa Onsen.

Snow-covered mountains and hot springs—two charms melting into one.
This is winter in Nozawa Onsen.

With every changing season,
Discover a new side of Nozawa.

As the snow melts, Nozawa Onsen gradually transforms.

In spring, vibrant rape blossoms color Iiyama.
In early summer, enjoy local delights straight from the mountains themselves, such as nekomagari-dake (local dwarf bamboo shoots).
Summer brings cool highland breezes and festivals,
while autumn features the Toro Lantern Festival and fireworks that light up the night sky.

Enjoy the mountain scenery from the Nagasaka Gondola, explore the public bathhouses (sotoyu) and footbaths throughout the hot spring town, and visit traditional shops with unique local cafes.

Take a short trip further out to Zenko-ji Temple or Obuse.
A different rhythm from Nozawa Onsen awaits you there—one distinct from the snowy season.
