Accommodation Policy
Terms and Conditions
Nozawa Grand Hotel 10/01/2026
Scope of Application
Article 1. The accommodation contract and related contracts concluded between the Hotel and the Guest shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions. Any matters not provided for herein shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations or generally established practice.
2. When the Hotel has agreed to special arrangements that do not conflict with laws and regulations or established practice, such special arrangements shall take precedence, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
Application for Accommodation Contracts
Article 2. A person who wishes to apply for an accommodation contract with the Hotel shall notify the Hotel of the following particulars:
(1) Name of the guest(s);
(2) Date of stay and estimated time of arrival;
(3) Accommodation charges (in principle, based on the Basic Accommodation Charge set out in Table 1);
(4) Any other particulars deemed necessary by the Hotel.
2. If, during the stay, the Guest requests to extend the stay beyond the date specified under item (2) of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel shall treat such request as a new application for an accommodation contract made at the time the request is made.
Establishment of Accommodation Contracts, etc.
Article 3. An accommodation contract shall be deemed established when the Hotel accepts the application referred to in the preceding article; provided that this shall not apply where it has been demonstrated that the Hotel did not give its acceptance.
2. When an accommodation contract has been established pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the Guest shall pay, by the date specified by the Hotel, an application deposit designated by the Hotel, up to the amount of the Basic Accommodation Charge for the period of stay (or for three days, if the period of stay exceeds three days).
3. The application deposit shall first be applied toward the accommodation charges ultimately payable by the Guest; if circumstances arise requiring application of Article 6 or Article 17, it shall be applied in the order of cancellation fee and then compensation, with any remaining balance refunded at the time of payment of charges under Article 11. If the Guest fails to pay the application deposit by the date specified under the preceding paragraph, the accommodation contract shall thereupon lose its effect; provided, however, that this shall apply only where the Hotel has notified the Guest of this consequence when specifying the payment date for the application deposit.
Special Arrangement Not Requiring Payment of the Application Deposit
Article 4. Notwithstanding Paragraph 2 of the preceding article, the Hotel may agree to a special arrangement under which payment of the application deposit referred to in that paragraph is not required after conclusion of the contract.
2. If, in accepting an application for an accommodation contract, the Hotel does not specify the due date for payment of the application deposit under Paragraph 2 of the preceding article, the Hotel shall be treated as having agreed to the special arrangement referred to in the preceding paragraph.
Refusal to Conclude an Accommodation Contract
Article 5. The Hotel may decline to conclude an accommodation contract in any of the following cases:
(1) When the application does not conform to these Terms and Conditions;
(2) When no rooms are available due to full occupancy;
(3) When the person seeking accommodation is found to be a member of an organized crime group as designated under the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (Act No. 77 of 1991), a related party thereof, or otherwise a member of an antisocial force (hereinafter, “Organized Crime Group, etc.”);
(4) When the person seeking accommodation is a corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an Organized Crime Group, etc., or a member thereof;
(5) When the person seeking accommodation is, or is a member of, a corporation having an officer who falls under the category of a member of an Organized Crime Group, etc.;
(6) When the person seeking accommodation has engaged in conduct causing significant inconvenience to other guests;
(7) When the person seeking accommodation has engaged in violence, intimidation, extortion, or unreasonable demands exceeding a reasonable scope toward the facility or its staff, or is found to have engaged in similar conduct in the past;
(8) When the person seeking accommodation is clearly found to be suffering from an infectious disease;
(9) When accommodation cannot be provided due to a natural disaster, facility malfunction, or other unavoidable cause.
The Guest's Right to Cancel the Contract
Article 6. The Guest may cancel the accommodation contract by notifying the Hotel.
2. When the Guest cancels all or part of the accommodation contract for reasons attributable to the Guest (excluding cases where the Hotel has designated and requested payment of an application deposit under Article 3, Paragraph 2, and the Guest cancels the contract before making that payment, etc.), the Hotel shall charge a cancellation fee as set out in Table 2; provided that, where the Hotel has agreed to the special arrangement under Article 4, Paragraph 1, this shall apply only where the Hotel notified the Guest, at the time of agreeing to that arrangement, of the obligation to pay a cancellation fee upon cancellation.
3. If the Guest does not arrive by 8:00 p.m. on the date of stay without notice to the Hotel (or, where an estimated arrival time has been specified in advance, two hours after that time), the Hotel may treat the accommodation contract as having been cancelled by the Guest.
Table 2 Cancellation Policy (Related to Article 6, Paragraph 2)

Notes
1. Percentages represent the cancellation fee as a proportion of the Basic Accommodation Charge.
2. If the contracted number of nights is shortened, a cancellation fee equivalent to one night (the first night) shall be charged regardless of the number of nights shortened.
3. For group bookings (15 or more guests), if part of the booking is cancelled, no cancellation fee shall be charged for the number of guests corresponding to 10% (rounded up) of the number of guests booked as of 10 days before the stay (or, if the booking was accepted after that date, as of the date of acceptance).
The Hotel's Right to Cancel the Contract
Article 7. The Hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in any of the following cases:
(1) When the Guest is found to be a member of an organized crime group;
(2) When the Guest is a corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an Organized Crime Group, etc., or a member thereof;
(3) When the Guest is, or is a member of, a corporation having an officer who falls under the category of a member of an Organized Crime Group, etc.;
(4) When the Guest has engaged in violence, intimidation, extortion, or unreasonable demands exceeding a reasonable scope toward the facility or its staff, or is found to have engaged in similar conduct in the past;
(5) When the Guest is found likely to engage in, or is found to have engaged in, conduct that violates laws and regulations, public order, or good morals in connection with the stay;
(6) When the Guest is clearly found to be suffering from an infectious disease;
(7) When accommodation cannot be provided due to a natural disaster or other event of force majeure;

(3) Date and estimated time of departure;
(4) Any other particulars deemed necessary by the Hotel.
2. If the Guest intends to pay the charges under Article 11 by traveler's check, accommodation coupon, or other means in lieu of currency, the Guest shall present such means at the time of registration under the preceding paragraph.
Room Usage Hours
Article 9. The hours during which the Guest may use the guest room are from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. the following morning; provided that, for consecutive stays, the room may be used all day except on the day of arrival and the day of departure.
2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the Hotel may permit use of the room outside the hours specified therein. In such cases, the Hotel shall charge the following additional fees:
(1) Up to 3 hours over: 30% of the amount equivalent to the room charge;
(2) Up to 6 hours over: 50% of the amount equivalent to the room charge;

Article 13. If the Hotel is unable to provide the Guest with the contracted room, the Hotel shall, with the Guest's consent, arrange alternative accommodation on conditions as similar as possible to the original.
